How To Build A Website Part 2 – Web Hosting
OK, so now you have your fabulous domain name.
As far as getting a web hosting account their are several considerations.
If you want to build a website for business in internet marketing, your intention will be getting a lot of traffic. More targeted visitors mean more potential customers. But you will also need more bandwidth.
If your just setting up a casual niche website or blog, the amount of bandwidth shouldn’t be a problem. So don’t overpay and get a larger web hosting package than you need.
There are many ‘free’ web hosting companies out there, and they can work just fine for the casual user. But if you are conducting business or doing anything of a proprietary nature – something that is original to you – please remember that these companies can, and often do go out of business, and they can take down your website for any reason they want.
For example if a competitor or someone just complains about something you may have just done unintentionally, they can shut you down.
So I would recommend getting a website hosting situation that you have a little more control over.
There are so many web hosting companies out there who do you choose? I have used Host Monster for many years and am very happy with them
Until you know the ropes a bit, I would suggest going with one of the name brands. The overall prices really aren’t that much different, but I do have a few suggestions.
Make sure they have C panel. It is a fairly easy control panel to use and there is plenty of – how to – information on the web about – how to use it, as well as the solutions to the various problems people have already come across.
Start learning how to do web searches and look up a particular hosting company and read the reviews, and maybe find a coupon code to get that special deal.
As far as reviews go, you can’t please everyone, so unless there is a lot of negative reviews from different sources, I personally don’t over concern myself about it.
Every reputable company has a help desk, so contact them yourself, before you sign up, and go over any questions or concerns you may have.
You will be interested in the amount of with bandwidth and your space allowance that comes with your particular package if you are doing internet business, and or, have the need to upload large amounts of information.

If you are planning on doing internet marketing, don’t start with the biggest package they have, save yourself some money and let your business grow a bit first.
If you are internet savvy enough, sign up for a re-sellers account where you can create hosting for unlimited domains for yourself as well as dividing up and selling web space to others. You can end up getting your web hosting for free and make some money to boot!
Realistically, there are many more details involved, so make this a part of your web search. I really can’t stress this enough. The information is already out there to help you, so learn how to find it.
You will quickly see that the brand name companies usually have all the necessary side programs that will help you to get your website or blog up and running very quickly. So you will most likely find yourself in good hands if a problem arises – usually something you have or haven’t done properly – and they will be right on top of it to help you out.
